"John-Henry aka. Demdranger is a drummer, DJ, and music producer. He is currently completing a Masters in Digital Composition and Performance at the University of Edinburgh, where as Scottish fate would seem to have it, he moved into the flat of none other than champion Highland Pipes (bagpipes) player, Lorne Cousin. Lorne played pipes on Madonna's 2004 Re-Invention tour and Demdranger is currently working on his demo for his imminent move to LA in March. Expect to hear some interesting Scottish breakbeat funk and house floating around WMC this year. Best known for his work with his former band Aubergine 3, Demdranger has performed in London, Rio, Sao Paulo, DC, NYC, C-Ville, Asheville, San Fran, Chicago, and lots of little funky gigs in good ol' Jefferson County, WV, his hometown area. His music with Aubergine 3 has been in one feature film, Must Love Dogs (Warner Brothers, 2005) and will be featured in the new ABC series Six Degrees(fr om the producers of Lost). Demdranger has always been a little different and mentally dedicated to "jumping and not jumping" at the same time, if you catch the drift. While pursuing his musical endeavours he has also been fairly active in local politics and sat on the Planning Commission in Harpers Ferry from 2004 - 2006, helping draft a comprehensive plan and, in general, trying to promote local music, prevent suburban sprawl and preserve the local ecology and environment." official artist website
